Surrey Tennis have introduced a new Mixed Doubles Team knock-out competition for this winter. In the first round our team of Nicky, Lizanne, Warren and James were drawn away against local rivals David Lloyd Raynes Park B and were very pleased to come away with a convincing and thoroughly deserved 4-0 victory. Congratulations!

Next up is a home tie against also near-by Westside LTC.

We are very proud of the Club’s teams playing in the Surrey League who had an outstanding summer of tennis. Both of our Ladies teams, plus the Mens’ Second and Third teams, won their respective divisions. Congratulations to all who participated, and thank you to the Captains for organising the matches. Best of luck for the forthcoming Winter League.

Congratulations to our First Team Men who finished second in their division of the Winter League, receiving a deserved promotion to the division above for next season. This is their fourth promotion since 2013! Seven players participated in five matches throughout the cold and often windy winter season so do congratulate them when you see them around the club. The seven players are: Warren, Neville, Arunan, Alex, Mike, Axel and Milen.

Below are the final tables for our 2 Men's teams and 1 Ladies' team. To summarise the Men's 1sts topped their group, the 2nds came runners up in their group and the Ladies' team came fifth out of six.

To put the league's in context, for Men there are 26 Divisions in the Surrey East League so we played in Divs 17 and 23 respectively, and for Ladies there are 20 Divisions in the Surrey East League and we played in Div 14.

The 2nd team completed their summer league season with a win at home to Selsdon.  

We finished with a winning record of 3 wins and 2 losses. Not all the teams have completed their matches but at this stage we are top and we can enjoy it while it lasts!! Whatever the final outcome it has been a successful,enjoyable season. Peter and myself played in all 5 matches and managed to win 8 out of 10 matches -well played Peter. Credit also to Antony(3 matches),Graham(2),Michal(2),Axel(2) and Adam(1 but it was a crucial win!).
