An American tournament is a fun way to play doubles with a variety of different partners and opponents over the course of an afternoon. Each player keeps their track of the number of individual games he or she has won in each set and the nominal winner is the person who has won the most games at the end of the day. It is a great introduction to social tennis for newcomers to the club, or those improvers who want to try out their new skills at a club session. For regular club players it is a fun alternative to the usual tennis format.

While we will try to accommodate everyone on the day, spaces are limited so please do sign up in the club house to secure your place.

Monday 7th May – 2pm start, arrive earlier to warm up.

If you opted-in to the LTA Club ballot then come along on Sunday 29th April to find out if you have won the chance to buy some great tickets. You do not need to be present to win but those winners in attendance will have first choice of the available tickets. Other winners will be contacted via email afterwards. The first name will be drawn from the hat at 4pm, all are welcome, and the Club will be laying on refreshments to make the afternoon a properly social occasion.

At 2pm on the same day,  Senior Members are invited to play in a fun tournament. We will be using a new format called "Davis Cup" where two teams battle it out over the course of multiple matches. This format should provide an enjoyable afternoon for all standards of play, so please come along and have fun whether you are a relatively recent player who has never been to a Club Social, or someone who represents the Club in team matches.
