The AGM was held on the 19th March and we had the biggest attendance for a few years. The meeting concluded with a presentation to our retiring Saturday morning coach, Michele Shanley followed by wine and snacks. Head coach José Marquez will be taking over supervision of the Saturday groups.
Work on the floodlights for courts 1-3 has progressed smoothly with minimum disruption and they will be operational by April. Most of the funding was provided by Sport England.
The committee has decided to take advantage of the LTA's Great British Tennis Weekend promotion and arrange an Open Day, our first of the year, on Sunday 15th May. There will be food and drinks available and, if the weather is favourable, a barbecue.
