The orange ball competition on Sunday 20th was very successful and those attending witnessed some junior tennis of a high standard. The organiser, Alison Battista, was delighted with everything including the perfect weather! The next LTA competition starts at 9am on Sunday the 1st November and some of our junior members will be participating. This is open to boys and girls who are 18 and under. For those interested in competing, the code to used on the LTA website is SUR15W1125. Again there will be pressure on our courts and there will be no guarantee that many will be available for social play during the morning. Members are encouraged to attend to support the players and socialise with visiting parents and coaches.

While we are talking about competitions, the club will have a quiz on Saturday the 21st November, so put that in your diaries. The date has been carefully selected to avoid clashes with Rugby World Cup matches and the Davis Cup final!

The club is delighted to be hosting 2 LTA recognised junior competitions this autumn, a 9 and under orange ball event on Sunday 20th September from 9am and an 18 and under competition on Sunday 1st November. The organiser, Alison Battista, was keen to use the facilities again and hopes that the competitions will raise the club's profile in the area and possibly bring in some new members. Members are welcome to come and support the event and see some high quality tennis. Unfortunately on the 20th, no courts will be available for members' use during the morning.
